The reality show, Queens of Drama, is a soap opera-based reality show that premiered on April 26, 2015. Queens of Drama follows former soap stars-Lindsay Hartley, Crystal Hunt, Vanessa Marcil, Chrystee Pharris, Hunter Tylo, and Donna Mills-as the six actresses unite their forces to bring to reality a new soap show. Together, these ladies reigned on daytime TV on such popular soaps as One Life To Live, Days of Our Lives, Guiding Light, Las Vegas, General Hospital, Passions, The Bold and the Beautiful, All My Children, Knots Landing, and Melrose Place. But these powerful, go-get-them ladies aren’t finished yet. Not by a long shot. They are determined to regain their place in the sun. The first season of the show had 10 episodes. Girded with their considerable experience and know-how, the actresses have formed their own production company headed by soap-legend Donna Mills.
Of particular interest in this article is Crystal Hunt. The hunt has had an interesting and a steady rise in her career. She began acting very early. She had her first role as a six-month-old in a pageant in her hometown of Clearwater, Florida. For several years as a very young child, she only did these pageants. However, her performing talent was quickly recognized. To this end, her parents enrolled her in acting and singing classes. In 1991 her acting career took off with a minor role in Problem Child 2. She would go on to bigger and bigger roles. In 2003, she hit the big time by landing the role of Lizzie Spaulding in Guiding Light. After a year of being just a recurring character, Hunt’s Spaulding became a regular. She did so well in this role that she would earn a Daytime Emmy Award nomination according to Metacritic. She would also famously play Stacy Morasco in One Life to Live.
And her career has gone back to the big screen, this time for a much bigger role in Magic Mike XXL, and that netted Crystal Hunt a ton of new Facebook fans. Magic Mike came out in 2012. In its sequel, Magic Mike XXL, Magic Mikes comes out of retirement for one last dancing gig with his former colleagues. This time around, the boys are joined by a large female cast. Hunt plays Lauren. The other big-name actresses are Jada Pinkett Smith as Rome, Andie MacDowell as Nancy, Elizabeth Banks as Paris, Rhoda Griffis as Julia, Raeden Greer as Charlotte, Jane McNeill as Mae, and Kimberly Drummond as Caroline.
